Heart and Soul Singing in Swansea

A group of singers led by Kate Davies Singing

An evening together to unwind, de-stress, breathe and sing

Welcome to the magical, meditative world of heart and soul singing. Harmony singing is one of the most immersive activities we can do. It transports us out of our day to day stress and into the present moment.

For these sessions at Swansea Welling Centre, I aim to choose simple songs that can easily be learned from scratch by ear. No prior singing or musical experience is needed.

Through listening and singing we deepen our connections with ourselves and each other. We synchronise our breath and heartbeats and create healing and harmonious music together.

You don’t need to be in a choir or a regular or confident singer. If the event calls to you, just book your place and come along. You’ll be made very welcome.

Why Join Us

Heart and Soul Singing is so much more than singing. It’s different from any choir or singing group you may have been in before. I put a lot of emphasis on listening and feeling the physical sensations of the resonance.

This is how we become immersed in the harmonies and in the present moment. There’s nothing quite like it for relaxing at the end of a busy week and beginning the weekend refreshed.

What We Sing

We will sing a variety of simple harmony songs with themes of love, nature and the sacred.

Some of the songs may be sacred songs from different spiritual traditions including Taize and Harmonic Temple.  The evening is open to people of all faiths and none.

The Venue

We meet in the cosy and welcoming Swansea Wellbeing Centre, on the corner of Burman St and Walter Rd in Swansea. The address is Walter Rd, Swansea SA1 5PQ.

What Participants Say...

Singing with Kate is such a special experience, yes she’s kind and warm and inclusive, but she’s also a terrific teacher and guide, so no matter your starting point, you will leave every session led by her feeling calm and with a gentle sense of achievement.

I would recommend Kate Davies’ singing groups to anyone, whether they’re an experienced singer or a complete novice.

A wise friend once said to me, ‘it’s never a bad idea to go for a walk, and it’s never a bad idea to go and hear live music.’ To which I would add, it’s never a bad idea to go and sing with Kate.  Put simply, it’s a joy!
